Cake in a mug? It’s as simple as mixing and microwaving! This is a super easy vegan chocolate mug cake.

What you need

  • oats
  • cacao powder
  • baking powder
  • maple syrup/brown sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • coconut oil
  • milk

How to make 5 minute vegan chocolate mug cake

Mix together the oats, cacao powder, baking powder and salt in a mug.

Add in the remaining wet ingredients and mix together thoroughly, making sure there are no lumps.

Microwave on high heat for 1½ to 2 minutes. Enjoy your mug cake!

Try doubling the recipe to share with someone else!

Add in some chocolate chips for a melty surprise.

  • 20 g oats
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

    just fancied a mug cake and i remembered you did a recipe… this works so well! mixture was thick so wasn’t expecting it to rise but it did. thanks!!

    Love this recipe! So easy! I didn’t have any vanilla extract so used almond instead and it worked really well
