Country Home Tour – Sneak Peek Into Our Georgian House
As many of you know, I recently moved house! It was a long time coming, with over 6 months since the time we made our offer, and completion. We went through so many ups and downs during the process and it was stressful to say the least! I am so happy we are on the other side and finally moved into our new beautiful home in the countryside.

Our new master bedroom
We moved from our small 17th century cottage in a village in Cornwall, to a Georgian home located in the heart of the Cornish countryside. It has so many amazing original features, an incredible garden and is just everything we ever dreamed of. There will, of course, be so many renovations to come, as we have some big plans!
I’ve kept the house a bit of a secret since we moved in, only sharing a few sneak peaks over on my instagram accounts @madeleineolivia and our home account @ourcornishcottage as I get caught up on the vlogs over on YouTube.
I therefore really wanted to share some highlights and snippets of our home here on the blog so you can understand why we fell in love with this home! It isn’t quite a tour (that’s to come!) but it hopefully gives you an insight into why we fell in love with this place in the first place. It really has everything we wanted for our forever home, including high ceilings, remote location, big windows, a beautiful garden and an incredible kitchen! Congratulations on the move! Your home is beautiful! The kitchen of course is the true focal point – just stunning. The quick glimpse into the bathroom made me gasp out loud, though, because the seashell-looking scones by the mirror are so whimsical! I hope you like them too, but I know that look isn’t for everyone lol. It’s more important to have a home reflect your style, not someone else’s. I’m so excited to see you, Alex, and the fur babies make this place even more magical.

What a beautiful house and GARDEN! I live in a Georgian house in Devon and we got our original windows double glazed (they can put in new panes so it doesn’t affect the look)! I think the strings in the kitchen are for hanging herbs from the garden. Can’t wait for more sneak peeks! Xx

I love the Aga, I’m just in the process of moving out of our Welsh cottage and leaving my beloved Aga behind. The dogs and cat will miss her as much as I will. She makes THE best bread and slow cooked casseroles and curries imaginable, and Aga toast is to die for. Oh well onwards and upwards. I hope you settle into your beautiful new home and you have many, many happy years there. xx
