My Favourite Places to Eat As a Vegan In Cornwall

A foodie hub, beautiful Cornwall has some incredible food for us vegans. One of my most asked questions is: “I’m coming to Cornwall next week, where are the best vegan spots to eat?”. So here is my official round up, after many yummy taste tests. There is a great vegan and vegetarian scene in Cornwall, with many non-vegan restaurants also offering amazing vegan options. I will be adding to this as I try out more spots for you, so save it and keep an eye on any updates in the future.
Vegan Restaurants
Fal Falafel
Falmouth – Weds – Sat
When we lived closer to Falmouth, I would have Fal Falafel almost every week. They make the best fresh falafel wraps with incredible pitta, creamy hummus and spicy pickles. The hummus and sauces are freshly made each day, they use biodegradable packaging and even their pittas are made in Cornwall at the same farm that the wheat is grown. It’s an ideal lunch when you’re out and about, and one of my highest recommendations for the area.

Be Kind – The Vegan Coffee Caravan
Hayle – Thurs – Sun
An adorable teal caravan with barista style Italian coffee, vegan pastries & cakes along with a delicious choice of brunch and lunch toasties and wraps. You’ll find the caravan at the South Quay Hayle Habour, near to ASDA. Perfect to grab for a sit down in the sunshine, or to take with you on a stroll along Hayle beach.

Wilder Kitchen
Falmouth – Tues – Sat
After visiting the Southern regions of India, founder Bradley was inspired to start his own street food business serving Thali’s. Enjoy a full plate of plant-based Indian flavours in the restaurant or for takeaway. A new dish is served each week, and I highly recommend for a meal packed full of flavour!

They describe their cafe as an extension of your living room, with wholesome bowls, indulgent treats, incredible coffee and healing turmeric, beetroot and matcha lattes. The names happy toast, groovy granola and grounding dal are also the cutest thing ever.

Located in the beautiful Carbis Bay, near to St Ives, The Bean Inn is a lovely vegetarian restaurant for a plant-based evening meal that’s been running for 20 years. Sabzi Deli
Truro, Falmouth, Newquay Padstow – open every day
Sabzi is always my favourite spot, and it’s no surprise that they have now expanded throughout Cornwall to have delis in Truro, Falmouth, Newquay and Padstow. It’s a small menu of vibrant, colourful, plant-based dishes that are different every day. Owner Kate instills her Iranian heritage in the flavours of the spreads, while championing sustainability into the values of her delis. The ultimate lunch box is a must (the dal is incredible), as well as their incredible cinnamon and tahini buns.

Potager Kitchen
Constantine – Thurs – Sun
A beautiful cafe sitting within a converted greenhouse amongst stunning gardens. Serving delicious homemade cakes, veggie breakfasts and seasonal vegetarian lunches, this is one of my favourite spots for how beautiful it is. You can take a stroll around the gardens after enjoying food from them in the cafe, and why not head to the Seal Sanctuary nearby after!

Restaurants with Great Vegan Options
Caffè Rojano
Padstow – open everyday
We ate here for my birthday dinner last year and it was absolutely delicious. It was great to have a traditional Italian meal that didn’t feel like an afterthought, but a really amazing option for vegans. One of Paul Ainsworth’s restaurants, you can understand why the food is so good, offering a menu of seasonal small plates, beautiful Napoletana-style pizzas and fresh pasta dishes. They have a seperate vegan menu which makes things easier including wild mushroom bruschetta, tomato ragu, sobrasada, and lots of different pizzas.

The Meat Counter
Falmouth – open everyday
Despite it’s name, this is one of my absolutely favourites in Cornwall because of their incredible vegan burgers. Truly after all of the vegan burgers I’ve tried, this is up there as one of the best. I always get the Heil Seitan with a side of loaded fries.

What an awesome list of vegan deliciousness! Wanted to let anyone reading this know that The Cornish Vegan, Roots cafe and Canteen at The Eco Park have all sadly closed in 2025 so you won’t be able to try their amazing food any longer. There are lots of other epic Vegan options to try though – Tiger Feet are opening at The Eco Park from Nov 2025, set to do 100% vegan Sri Lanken inspired food! I’m trying my best to keep cornwallveganguide.co.uk up to date with all the 100% vegan and veggie options along with thr best of the rest. Here’s to celebrating Cornwall’s plant forward champions!
