Ultimate Homemade Chips

Quit buying the frozen kind and try making your own. You won’t go back after trying these ultimate homemade chips, trust me.
What you need
- potatoes
- rapeseed oil
- chilli flakes
- mixed herbs
How to make the ultimate homemade chips
Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
Chop the potatoes into chunky chips.
Place in a bowl, then add the oil, salt and pepper, chilli flakes, and mixed herbs.
Toss together in the bowl, then arrange evenly on a lined baking tray.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, turning halfway through.
Serve with my homemade ketchup recipe from my ebook!
Peel the potatoes first, if you prefer (I like the crunch of the roasted skin!)
Customise with other herbs, or even extras like onion or garlic powder.

Ultimate Homemade Chips
Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes (weighing approx. 500g)
- glug rapeseed oil
- ¼ tsp chilli flakes
- ½ tsp mixed herbs
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Chop the potatoes into chunky chips.
- Place in a bowl, then add the oil, salt and pepper, chilli flakes, and mixed herbs.
- Toss together in the bowl, then arrange evenly on a lined baking tray.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, turning halfway through.
