Best Vegan Breakfasts in Cornwall

Veganism
best vegan breakfasts in cornwall

As someone who’s lucky enough to call Cornwall home, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring the best spots for plant-based food across the county. Whether it’s a slow Sunday brunch, a quick coffee stop after a coastal walk, or a treat-yourself breakfast in one of Cornwall’s hotels, I’m always on the lookout for places that serve great vegan options.

Over the years, I’ve discovered some real gems tucked away in small villages, beachside cafés with oat milk flat whites, and brunch menus that are more than your standard avocado on toast. With more cafés and restaurants embracing vegan and sustainable food, it’s definitely getting easier than ever to eat out as someone who eats plant based food.

So in this post, I’ll share my favourite places for a vegan breakfast or brunch across Cornwall. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or live here year-round, I hope this post helps you find a new favourite spot to enjoy a relaxed and tasty vegan breakfast.

Best Places to get a Vegan Breakfast in West Cornwall

Yallah Cafe

St Ives

A small kiosk and upstairs cafe on the harbour front at St Ives. Head up the stairs into a small cosy café offering a beautiful view, delicious coffee roasted in their own Cornish barn and tasty vegetarian and vegan light brunches. They roast single‑origin beans in Falmouth with sustainably driven practices—beans even arrive via sailboat—and serve them in compostable cups beside harbour views. The kiosk kitchen offers a concise menu of vegan‑friendly breakfast and brunch items like sourdough toasties (vegan mozzarella, fresh chard, turmeric–ginger jam), vegan eggy bread, house‑made samosas, flapjacks, and indulgent vegan cinnamon buns—along with non‑dairy milks and pressed juices.

The Honey Pot

Penzance

Tucked away on Parade Street in one of my favourite Cornish towns is The Honey Pot. It is a cosy, independent café serving a yummy vegan Full English, creamy porridge, and miso‑mushrooms on toast, alongside indulgent treats such as vegan cream tea and freshly baked cakes.

Orange Cafe Bar

Mousehole

Run by a mother‑daughter duo (Dee and Emerald) this cosy 100% plant-based café is tucked away in the charming fishing village of Mousehole. Orange has the cutest colourful interior with bright orange walls and vintage décor, including a grand piano‑bar centrepiece! Start your morning with their vegan full English, featuring scrambled tofu, crispy potato rostis, sautéed mushrooms, and smashed avocado. Or try the miso mushrooms—a favourite for good reason. For something sweet, don’t miss their vegan cream tea with jam and dairy-free cream. Pair your breakfast with a house-roasted coffee, a butterfly pea latte, or freshly blended kombucha. Then linger a little longer for one of their decadent vegan cakes or a chat with Kahlua, the café cat.
