Vegan Basil Pesto

This bright, herby vegan basil pesto makes pretty much everything taste better. Add to pasta, green vegetables or salad for a flavour kick.
What you need to make vegan basil pesto
- basil
- pine nuts
- olive oil
- lemon
How to make it
Remove any large basil stalks, and add all the ingredients to a food processor.
Blend until your desired texture – add a little extra water or oil if the mixture needs help blending.
Taste, and adjust the flavour if needed, then serve up!
Customise the recipe to your preference – e.g. sub out oil for water, pine nuts for cashews, or add garlic and nutritional yeast to taste.

- glug olive oil
- ½ lemon, juice of
- Salt and pepper
